The Lodge offers flexibility and can be configured as an intimate getaway to suit a couple or expanded with the addition of 3 further King/Twin bedrooms sleeping up to 8 guests, making it ideal for larger family groups. Tucked into our 150-acre organic farm and just a stones throw from the river with swimming holes, beach access and kayaks, this secluded sanctuary is the ultimate base for families or a couple wishing to relax and explore the Bay of Islands.
The Lodge is sole occupancy and features beautiful river views; cathedral ceilings, polished wooden floors and a cosy wood fire; a beautifully appointed kitchen, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms and romantic spa bath; floor to ceiling windows and doors opening from every room into the gardens and alfresco dining area and bbq. The Lodge is relaxing, romantic and peaceful.
Guests at The Lodge have access to a wonderful range of amenities including the kayaks, canoes and fishing rods in our private Boatshed, beautiful riverfront and 5 acre sub-tropical gardens to wander and explore, our 150 acre organic farm with tranquil walks along the river bank, through pastures and native bush to secluded swimming and picnic spots, and last but not least, the beautiful deserted sandy beaches a short paddle downstream at Takou Bay. Relaxing and rejuvenating massage and spa treatments and our magical riverside Hot Tub are also available to book.
The master bedroom with its luxurious super-king bed and beautiful north and east facing views offers space, peace and privacy. The large en suite bathroom is designed for relaxation and has a spacious spa bath, double sinks and separate shower. A second king or twin bedroom with its own bathroom is located at the opposite end of the living area providing space and privacy for a second couple or family group. Two further spacious king bedrooms upstairs can be included offering space for extended family gatherings. The Lodge also has a beautiful outdoor dining area and bbq with lawns leading down to the river. The open-plan kitchen is large, well appointed and fully equipped for self-catering with a gas hob and oven, dishwasher, espresso coffee machine, fridge-freezer, microwave, utensils, crockery and appliances.
The Lodge is equipped with a TV, DVD, music player and Wi-Fi, relaxing candles, fresh flowers and magazines. It is free from mobile phone coverage, and a phone for local calls is available in the guest office.
